At Herring Happy Hearts Counseling & Supervision, PLLC, I strive to make services accessible and affordable for individuals and families.

Insurance Accepted

I am currently in-network with the following insurance providers:

  • Aetna

  • Ascension

  • Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas

  • Carelon Behavioral Health

  • Cigna

  • Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey

  • Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania – Virtual National Network

  • Quest Behavioral Health

  • Traditional Medicare

I am currently awaiting confirmation of in-network status with multiple Medicare Advantage plans.

I am also in the process of becoming in-network with Texas Medicaid and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and will update this page as approvals are received.

Private Pay Options

For those who prefer or need to pay out-of-pocket:

  • $100 per session

A sliding scale is available based on need. Please reach out to discuss options.

Out-of-Network & Superbills

If I am not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be able to receive reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Upon request, I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt of services) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about:

  • Out-of-network mental health benefits

  • Reimbursement rates

  • Deductibles and copays

Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining the expected cost of your mental health services.

Under the law, healthcare providers are required to give clients who are not using insurance (or who choose not to use insurance) an estimate of the expected charges for services.

  • You can request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services or at any time during treatment.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.

  • For questions or more information about your rights, you can visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Questions About Coverage?

Insurance coverage can vary depending on your specific plan. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to verify your mental health benefits, including copays, deductibles, and authorization requirements.

If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help guide you through the process.
