At Herring Happy Hearts Counseling & Supervision, PLLC, my mission is simple: to help people feel seen, supported, and strong enough to move forward.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker–Supervisor (LCSW-S), as well as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP-CA) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), with over 26 years of experience in the mental health field. My journey has been deeply rooted in working with children, teens, and families, especially within the public school system as a Special Education Counselor and Social Worker. Over the years, I have walked alongside individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-harm, behavioral challenges, and life’s most difficult transitions.
Much of my work has focused on supporting students with diverse emotional and behavioral needs in special education settings. This experience has shaped my understanding of how mental health impacts not just individuals, but families, classrooms, and entire support systems. I also bring experience in working with substance use and addiction, as well as helping couples and families strengthen communication, navigate parenting struggles, and rebuild connection.
My approach is genuine, down-to-earth, and centered on building trust. I believe therapy should feel like a safe place where you can be honest, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what you’re going through without judgment. Whether I’m working with a young child learning to manage big emotions, a teen facing overwhelming stress, or an adult trying to find balance and clarity, my goal is always the same: to help you build resilience, develop practical tools, and move toward a healthier, more hopeful future.
